How does Zovirax cream work?

Zovirax cream treats oral herpes sores. This cream contains aciclovir
which is an antiviral medication. Aciclovir works by stopping the
herpes virus from reproducing. If aciclovir works properly the herpes
virus has nothing to feed off and won't be likely to multiply. A thin
layer of this cream should be used and applied to herpes sores five
times a day every four hours for five to ten days. The herpes sores
should fade away within a week of using this cream.
